Introduction

The Manufacturing Engineering group in Danderyd R&D consists of 16 engineers responsible for developing production test, automation and robot systems used in our highly advanced in-house production.

About the job

The mission for the group is to design and develop production, calibration, measurement and verification equipment to make it possible to manufacture Trimble's high technology optomechanical instruments. Our products are very complex and have high demands on function and quality. Furthermore, the group is responsible to reach production efficiency and reliability with tools such as DFA/DFM and Demand Flow Technology (DFT).

We are also planning to increase the use of automation and robot systems in production. For this responsibility, we need specialists in software development, mechanical and optics design, image analysis and laser knowledge combined with competence in manufacturing technology.

Main responsibilities

  • Develop software for test and measurement systems for production and verification.
  • Contribute to our goal to find the most efficient design of complex calibration and measurement systems for existing and future products.
  • Represent manufacturing engineering in development projects.
  • Participate in the work with automation and robot systems.

Required skills

  • MSc in Engineering Physisics, Computer Science, Electronics, Mechatronics or similar.
  • At least five years of work experience with test and verification systems, measurement technology, image analysis or production technology.
  • Used to manage and develop test and verification systems.
  • Software development in C#, .NET, WPF, C/C++, or similar language.
  • Knowledge of software revision control systems such as SVN.

Desired skills

  • Experience from production of advanced instruments in serial production.
  • Good mathematical skills.
  • Knowledge of
    • Automation and robot systems and
    • Software development in MS-SQL, ASP.NET, Borland Delphi.
  • Good problem-solving, analytical, debugging and troubleshooting skills.
