We are looking for a Technical Account Manager with great communication and project management skills for our Viaplay Partnerships Acquisition team. The position

As Technical Account Manager at Viaplay, you will be responsible for partnership success from the technical point of view, to deliver excellent Viaplay experiences for our partner customers. While teaming up with the Nordic sales team, you will own the technical relationships for assigned accounts. You will be a key person to orchestrate new partner integrations and drive feature releases for partners. After a profitable launch, you will continue strengthening technical relationships to build the technical maturity of the Viaplay platform for our partners in the Nordics.

We have built API-based integrations with 70+ partners. To be effective in this role, you should be acting as a trusted technical advisor for our partners, representing the Viaplay product strategy and supporting partners along the way.

You will be a tech and the Viaplay product ambassador in pre-sales and post-sales processes. Your goal is to achieve innovative technical use of our integration, optimize collaboration, and empower the long-term value of partnerships. You will be a part of the Viaplay Product team responsible for developing our partnership integrations, working closely with the product managers and developers to ensure a deep understanding of the technical strategies and solutions built for partners. You will also be taking part in the development cycle by contributing valuable insight from our partners’ experience to further improve our integration and KPI’s.

The journey ahead

Partnerships is a focus area for Viaplay where we see significant growth across all our markets. Our partners are telcos, and mobile operators looking for Viaplay integration as a way to extend their content offering for their viewers. Partnerships play an instrumental role in our expansion plans, with Viaplay being launched in the Baltics, Polen, USA, and the Netherlands, and 5 more new markets during 2022-2023. 

As the number of partners keeps growing, we are looking for one more colleague in the partnership team to coordinate current and new partner projects in the Nordics, working closely with one more Technical Account Manager who focuses on the expansion markets. We see an increasing need to provide our partners with further committed support, guidance, and expertise from a technical standpoint as well, to ensure that we get the most value out of every partnership and every feature or integration built by our Product teams.

Some of your daily tasks will be – but not limited to:
  • Coordinate and drive technical collaboration for integration projects such as launching a new partner or launching a new product or feature with an existing partner.
  • Drive adoption and engagement of the latest features within all our integrations and all in all contribute to retention and expansion in the partnership lifecycle.
  • Plan and implement together with existing partners their upgrade to the latest technology solutions
  • Facilitate technical support for partner or customer issue troubleshooting and advocate day-to-day inquiries and requests from partners. Even though you will be the first contact person for technical matters, you will be supported by our development team on further investigations.
  • Empower partnerships product and engineering teams to use our integration and partner support platform as freely and efficiently as possible.
  • Gather and share relevant insights and feedback from the partners to our Product teams on an ongoing basis, to support further improve our partnership integration and partner support platform.
What we are looking for

We are a small and international team working in different countries and supporting each other on any partnership stage. To be our next colleague, we believe you are currently working as a Technical Account Manager, Technical Product Owner, Technical Implementation Manager, or Implementation or Customer Success Manager today. While your heart skips a beat for stunning technical solutions, you also value great customer relationships and deliver such thanks to your communication skills. We also believe that you are flexible for change and eager to take on new opportunities. You enjoy addressing complex projects that require cross-functional work and deeper investigation. You feel confident working towards deadlines and capable to prioritize a few ongoing workstreams on your own.

Ideal candidates also meet the following requirements:

  • Solid experience of working with product implementation, technical support, or customer success for a large-scale technical product.
  • Great communication skills in English.
  • Experience in both internal and external stakeholder management.
  • A natural problem-solver, with a high level of curiosity and bravery.
  • Extensive experience in project management, including handling multiple projects at once.
  • Experience in working in an agile way together with the product team on developing the product.
  • You are knowledgeable in requirement gathering and working together with the product team on providing feedback for future product development.

Bonus requirements that will make you stand out from the rest:

  • Experience of working with B2B partnerships.
  • Experience from the media, streaming or entertainment sectors.
  • Experience in pre-sales support
