As a research engineer in the Maps and Localization team for Autonomous Transport Solution (ATS) Research you will be responsible to research, develop, and evaluate sensor-based localization and mapping algorithms for autonomous driving prototypes. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to enable autonomous navigation through complex environments using techniques as satellite navigation, SLAM, computer vision, visual geometry, and deep learning techniques among others.
You will work in tight collaboration with all the agile teams within ATS research, ensuring that the technical performance of the localization systems is optimized. You will work in a multi-cultural team, whose success factor is based on the build-measure-learn practice, enabled by a flexible platform that allows fast prototyping and testing of the latest autonomous driving concepts.
You will collaborate with universities and institutes to define and execute research and pre-development projects targeting TRL6. Our mission is to define and shape the next generation of high-precision positioning systems through value-driven research.
