Operational Planner

We are now looking for an Operational Planner with technical focus to strengthen our team in Stockholm.

As an Operational Planner you are working in the Media Coordination Team together with six colleagues, within Media Operations in the Product, Data & Tech Department at Viaplay and NENT Group.

The Media Coordination Team is responsible for planning and enabling the operational processes, by assuring all requirements are fulfilled and preparing the content in our systems for the following steps. The Operational Planner is an important link between acquisitions, media coordination, program planning, ingest and the publishing team. The actions and initiatives from this role are also key to a functional and smooth operational workflow. Your responsibilities as an operational planner with technical focus will include daily operational planning and coordination together with your colleagues but with a focus of securing the technical dependencies in the planning stage.

This includes but are not limited to:

• Support the Acquisitions team with technical and delivery competence in procurement of new rights and when needed take part in their negotiations.
• Ensure NENT’s technical specification is always part of any procurement of rights.
• Ensure delivery start date and delivery capacity is agreed during the procurement of rights.
• Ensure review of studio’s security requirements (if any) are performed by NENT’s Content Protection.
• Be a part of setting up and perfecting the process for onboarding Studios from a Content Platform perspective.
• Participate in negotiations with existing and new studios as well as ensuring that contracts are reviewed from a technical perspective by you and other technical stakeholders.
• Flag internally for possible obsticles with new deals to assure actions and preparations start at an early stage.
  

You will be part of a large team (+25 people) that together will cover the entire chain of the publishing flow. Everything from contact with distributors, scheduling, coding, quality control to publication is owned by this team. You will be working in an exciting and agile environment.

We are now heading into new markets and as we are still aiming to be the best streaming service out there is a need to simplify and evolve our systems and workflows and you will play a significant role in this process. You will be part of the ongoing transformation in the team to adapt to the company growth.

Ideal candidates meet the following requirements:

• Ability to work in a times-sensitive matter and with flexibility.
• Solid knowledge about technical details within media and streaming
• Fluent in English with great communication skills
• Fluent in Swedish
• Understanding of the media/streaming business and processes
• Solid experience of working with planning and coordination
• Experience from working with negotiations, rights acquisition,
• and media management
• A determined mind with self-confidence to be firm when needed
• Well-structured and with an eye for details and sense-of-urgency.
• Well-functioning both as a team member as well as working freely with own responsibility areas.
• Ambitious and self-motivated.

Bonus requirements:

• Experience from working with streaming and operational parts connected to it.
• Experience from VOD ingest or traffic/coordination
