Defence Truck Development, develops customer adaptations for defence purposes and produces technical data in procurements of defence-adapted trucks.
Our group
Our group, RSDC are working with defence cab development and consists of both employees and consultants where we work together in a cross-functional, dynamic and exciting environment close to the market and the customer and in broad cross functional cooperation with other design groups, production, purchase, suppliers and after market. We put our efforts on the product development in ongoing projects, support red arrow organization and working in the concept development phase. We aim to work agile and use learnings to continuously improve our processes and methods.
Right now we are in an intensive period working with industrialisation of two of the largest Defence projects at Scania with a base portfolio of products. This will we continue develope and extend to new costomers that we see are coming with even bigger volumes and extended challenging demands. We need a sharp and curious Development Engineer who take technical responsibility for the development assignments to meet our customers requirements now and further on.
Your duties
We are divided into three areas in RSDC, Protection , Exterior and Interior, where you will be part of one with a dedicated area of responsibility. We support each other both within the team but also for our entire group. You will partly develop the product yourself, but also lead consultants and, if necessary, produce a work order for ordering development assignments that are part of your area of responsibility. Working with demands from customer and follow up suppliers. You will get the opportunity for training in leadership since it is part of the work to lead and secure deliveries from the development assignments. As a development engineer with us, you will be in contact with the entire cab with great variety. You are constantly learning something new!
We work in fast and scalable processes and you quickly see the results of your designs. This task require from you to be open minded, oriented for the cross functional work and determined to find the best solution out of Scania and customer perspective. You'll be part of the working group so it is important that you are a team player.
Your profile
It is an advantage if you have previous experience from Scania with good knowledge of Scania module systems, our processes and systems. Experience with CATIA V5 is also an advantage and you feel comfortable working in both English and Swedish.
