Are you looking for a job that combines leadership with cutting edge technology? We are now recruiting a first line manager for an upcoming split of the group Autonomous Motion within Autonomous Transport Solutions (ATS) Research, Scania R&D.
At ATS Research, our vision is to “shape the forefront of ATS technologies that paves the way to industrialisation”. We strive towards our vision by conducting pre-development and applied research, focusing on the latest technology within self-driving systems. Our work is strongly value driven with the aim to create future customer value. We operate in agile teams that work in close cooperation with leading partners and academic institutions, with the ambition to detect and evaluate upcoming technologies. Both our research and practical experiments shall iteratively lead to concepts for industrialisation.
You will be leading a group of agile, multi-cultural teams that consists of research engineers, software developers and PhD students. Your most important task is to provide the pre-requisites needed for your employees to be successful in their job every day. The work approach is iterative development and the rapid prototyping enabled by a flexible platform for the autonomous vehicles.
The teams conduct research, design, implement and optimize software modules for autonomous driving. Today, the responsibility spans all the way from concept evaluation and software development of tactical decision-making, motion planning, motion control and situational awareness algorithms for autonomous driving, to Intelligent Transport Systems research. There are four teams within the group. As all of the teams are growing, there is a need to split the group in two.
As a leader, you are a responsive and accessible team player that values collaboration. Together with your team, you drive the technical development forward. You grow with responsibility and have a holistic approach to challenges. You manage change in a sustainable manner.
You have leadership experience and an academic background that matches our domain; at least at M.Sc. level. It is meritorious if you have experience in autonomous systems, machine learning, software development or in research.
We offer a healthy and inspiring work place, with deep respect for the individual, where you have great opportunities to shape your work and your future. Your personal and professional development is important and something we encourage and support.
As a Scania employee, you are offered several benefits in addition to personal and professional development opportunities. These benefits include mutual bonus, company car, occupational pension, flexible working hours, lunch at reduced prices and much more. If you live in Stockholm, we offer a direct bus service between Stockholm and Södertälje, Scania Job Express.
