Systems Engineer - AD & ADAS

The opportunity

We're currently looking for a Systems Engineer to join our AD & ADAS Systems team. Someone with a passion for electric mobility, an interest in technology, and a desire to create the change we know is needed.

Our AD & ADAS Systems team look after the requirements of our AD & ADAS subsystems using the SystemWeaver tool chain. They ensure implementation of Function and Functional Safety requirements, traceability through testing and managing change requests.

This position is located at our Gothenburg offices in Sweden.


The responsibilities

In this role, you'll be expected to own subsystems. Work as a member of AD & ADAS systems team, you'll be instrumental in the delivery of our AD & ADAS systems. See below for a more thorough breakdown of the various tasks and areas you'll be responsible for:

  • Review platform level function design and system requirements, create project specific system and subsystem solutions and requirements in SystemWeaver
  • Reflect Polestar DNA and user interface in the system solution
  • Coordinate and handshake requirements with internal and external stakeholders
  • Raise change requests for unique and modified implementations
  • Develop system and sub system level test plans and requirements for the unique or modified solutions
  • Interface with the testing teams and drive issue resolution
  • Support activities to refine and improve the Polestar way of working with requirements
  • Be part of / give input to sourcing activities

In addition, you'll need the following qualifications:

  • M.Sc or B.Sc. degree in electrical or automotive engineering or a related field.
  • More than 3 years of experience working within the automotive industry as a Systems Engineer within the AD / ADAS domain
  • Working level knowledge of requirements engineering ideally using the SystemWeaver tool chain
  • Working level knowledge of Functional Safety with respect to ISO26262 and SOTIF
  • Knowledge of Automotive electrical architectures and signal data base handling
  • Knowledge of SW architecture (the different SW layers and the structure)
