AAK Sweden AB (Karlshamn)
Karlshamn is our largest and most complex site, founded in 1918 and is located next to the Baltic Sea, where we operate an edible oils refinery, and multi-factory manufacturing facility. Here we use our oils and fats expertize, understanding of food applications, wide range of raw materials and broad process capacity, to deliver value-adding vegetable oil solutions to customers in many sectors. Our colleagues work in sales, customer innovation, quality assurance and production. We supply many industries including chocolate and confectionery, bakery, dairy, plant-based foods, personal care, animal nutrition, infant nutrition, candles, and rubber..
About the role
Lead and develop AAK Site Karlshamn in accordance with AAK
European, strategies and culture to ensure the
efficient, cost-effective, and safe operation of the site.
Responsible for all operational aspects of the site,
including Health, Safety & Environment, Production, Supply Chain,
Engineering and Technical functions, as well as, close collaboration with the
HR (including unions), Finance and Commercial business functions. There will
also be a need to work with critical local stakeholders, including the
environment agency, local city council and port authority.
Your Future Team:
The Site Management Team in Karlshamn plays an important role in driving the long-term business growth with all stakeholders both in Karlshamn but as well in close collaboration with stakeholders cross-functional in our organization locally but as well on a European level. The team consists of different representatives from the site in Karlshamn with the common goal of continuing the success of the site. To set the organization up for continued development and success is key for the Site Management Team. The representatives in the Site Management Team exists of a diverse group of leaders with responsibility of their functions. It´s natural for you to see phycological safety and trust as key elements to continue the ride for the Site Management Team performance. You see challenge, learnings and feedback as part of a healthy culture, and you feel confident to delegate responsibility to responsible function or department.
Responsibilities
· Lead and develop the strategic roadmap for Site Karlshamn
Lead and develop the Site Management team
Drive site performance and commitment to safety, quality and
continuous improvement
Build the capability to proactively deal with the increased
complexity in the market at both macro and micro level
Be an ambassador for AAK and Site Karlshamn, promoting the
focus on interdependency in line with the cultural journey
Complete on-going capital projects and successfully
implement ongoing and future growth oriented investments
Lead the Seamless implementation of SAP/Hana at Site level
Engagement and compliance with all relevant legal
frameworks, including health and safety and environmental
Responsibility for delivery of Site P&L
About you
· Degree qualified in a relevant field (preferably Chemistry, Engineering or Food Science)
· Previous experience in a similar size role, with a proven track record of managing large-scale manufacturing operations.
· A proven leader with experience of achieving cultural change in a manufacturing environment.
· Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and regulatory requirements.
· Previous edible oils and fats experience is not essential but would be advantageous.
· Previous refinery or heavy industry experience would be advantageous.
· Knowledge of food manufacturing and food safety would be advantageous.
· Strong working knowledge of a P&L and how to manage costs in a manufacturing environment.
· An understanding of world class manufacturing and engineering techniques.
· Demonstrated ability to remain resilient in the face of complex challenges, with a proven track record of managing and overcoming them.
· Proven ability to effectively prioritise tasks and projects, ensuring that critical issues are addressed promptly, and resources are allocated appropriately.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to successfully navigate in a matrix organisation
· Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions to drive operational success.
