IKEA Supply is responsible to source, manufacture and distribute IKEA products to the IKEA retailers. This to secure customer availability in all markets and sales channels at lowest total cost. 

In Purchasing Development, the assignment goes hand and hand with the IKEA Business idea as we are responsible to produce the ‘wide range of well-designed, functional home furnishing products at prices so low that as many people as possible will be able to afford them’. ​Affordability, accessibility, sustainability and quality are our main priorities.​ We develop and execute sourcing strategies and thus meet the Supply markets/industries in 6 different categories. We are a true global organization with around 1000 co-workers placed in 27 different locations, close to the suppliers and the market. 


Job description


The Logistics function in Purchasing Development enables consistently high & stable availability to lowest cost by leading logistics development together with IKEA Suppliers, contributing to value chain development with a total cost approach. Our function is also responsible for leading logistics competence development agenda, collaborating with IKEA Suppliers to meet business needs.  

The role of  System Support within Purchasing Development Logistics is to support suppliers with the ambition to optimize usage of business solutions available and contribute to the development of digital solutions of the future. 

So what will you do? 

• Train and support IKEA Suppliers who use specific IKEA business solutions (including both systems and processes) in their daily work  
• Represent needs of IKEA Suppliers when developing IKEA business solutions used by them  
• Participate in development of IKEA business solutions used by IKEA Suppliers​ 

This means that you will work with both communication & learning, Business Solution maintenance & development. You will be there in the full life cycle of the interaction with the business solution – from securing trainings in using the system, to handling ad hoc incidents and collect development needs to share with the solution owner!  


Qualification


To be successful in this role, we believe that you have strong background in our business solutions (ECIS, EDI, ESP) & the working methods/business processes connected to it.

Since working methods/business processes are neither static nor set in stone there will be continued development to ensure stronger focus on users to facilitate business. You probably already have an idea about how we could achieve this! 

This role is very much about knowledge transfer and enabling our business. We believe you have ​​the ability to support, inspire and communicate clearly with people and can build trustful relations. That you are a good listener and presenter with great facilitation and trainer skills. We also believe that you are analytical & structured while keeping the holistic perspective in mind.
