Project Leader

As Project Leader you are responsible for managing projects within IKEA IT, take ownership for the assignments delivery, lead people through standard methods and processes to make everyone perform their best. This is naturally influenced by IKEAs values.

You will lead

• your own projects, sub-projects, smaller enhancements or work streams within larger projects managed by a Project Manager.
• and coordinate people and are capable of building trustful relations and working with leveraging diversity and inclusion among different cultures in a global organization.
• to deliver your assignment within decided scope, time and cost frame, applying relevant project management techniques.

• are a natural leader, capable of building trustful relations and working with leveraging diversity and inclusion among different cultures in a global organisation.
• have great communication and good interpersonal skills, drive and integrity.
• have a track record of delivering projects and achieving business results preferably by working with different methodologies such as waterfall and agile.
• have great people management skills, some understanding of solution management and preferably IT process knowledge.
• have 2-5 years experience from leading assignments and a genuine interest to grow and develop yourself to become a Project Manager in the near future.

As a person you have a down to earth attitude and you share our IKEA values. You enjoy working across different cultures and levels in our organisation. We believe that it is important that you are flexible and can handle many different types of situations as well as navigate your project and yourself even when the scope is unclear. You are confident in your leadership and have the ability to see the whole picture, but at the same time you have a practical mind set and you like to be hands on.
