Global Eng. Quality Manager Electronics & Mechatronics

The mission of Global Engineering Quality Manager encompasses the full spectrum of the value stream with focus on Electronics & Mechatronics quality. This End-to-End approach focuses on identifying and eliminating product issues at the end of the chain in serial production, demonstrating safety margin and mitigating risk upstream on serial life projects, as well as ensuring designs are robust even further upstream in the development process.

If you think you'll like to manage the following responsibilities at higher standards:

  • Support Q-RDE Policy Deployment tactics
  • Engage in component / product quality in Electronics & Mechatronics development.
  • Embolden compliance to PB/ Yokoten /MPS in PLW world.
  • Engage in quality issues that are electronic/mechatronic related, including 8D support
  • Help organization Reduce our Products (steering wheels, airbags, seatbelts ...) scrap & warranty.
  • Active involvement in ASPICE – Quality Assurance
  • Help bridge the gap between the Divisions and Global E&M team from focused Quality standpoint.
  • Get involved in projects upstream, to help prevent Q issues related to Electronics & Mechatronics
  • Work with Engineering to ensure quality upstream in development (AS108, AS34, AS100, AS007)
  • Identify and mitigate product risks in entire value stream.
  • Drive execution of key initiatives in line with Engineering Quality Strategies
  • Ensure Product Robustness is demonstrated in projects.
  • Engage in design reviews, launch readiness reviews, VIR reviews, etc. to facilitate flawless serial life (AS100) project launches.

and if you have/are:

  • BS in Engineering
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong problem-solving skills (8D, 5-why, DDA, Red-X)
  • Steering wheel, airbags & seatbelts experience, with good understanding of Electronics & Mechatronics, including HOD.
  • Systems Engineering including ASPICE (preferred)
  • Solid background in FMEA and Change Point Analysis
  • Sound Project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects, and deliver on-time.
  • Extensive background in Quality Management (10+ years); including effective problem-resolution using 8D
  • Solid foundation of Airbags, Seatbelts and Steering Wheels Product knowledge
  • Manufacturing Operations experience; multiple product lines preferred.
  • Supplier Quality / Development experience a plus
