Responsibilities

As a Project Manager within our Global Outbound team, you will lead key projects focused on the integration and optimization of information flow and technology platforms. Your role will be pivotal in managing projects from inception through to successful implementation, ensuring they deliver value, enhance user experience, and achieve the business goals.

You will lead projects that integrate both agile and waterfall methodologies to suit our dynamic project environments. Your role will involve identifying and resolving bottlenecks and dependencies, as well as prioritizing resources to maximize project benefits. You will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and align with our strategic objectives, maintaining a balance between big-picture thinking and attention to detail.

In this role you will team up with our Business Process Owner and our Process Developer to shape the present and the future of Scania and TRATON outbound logistics.

  • Project Leadership and Management: Set and oversee project timelines, budgets, resources, and risks, ensuring projects align with strategic goals.
  • Technology Integration: Facilitate the integration of new technology solutions into existing business processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with IT and business units to ensure projects meet functional needs and are implemented smoothly.
  • Hybrid Project Management: Apply both agile and waterfall methodologies to manage projects effectively across different scenarios.
  • Resource Optimization: Prioritize and allocate limited resources in the most effective manner to ensure project success, while also building engagement and buy-in to secure collaboration across resources beyond the outbound organization.
  • Change Management: Lead transformative projects by managing change effectively, ensuring stakeholder alignment and smooth transition to new methods and systems within the outbound logistics framework.
  • Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve project bottlenecks and dependencies

Your profile

We seek a dynamic individual who thrives in complex project environments and is adept at using technology to solve business problems. We are looking for a strategic thinker who is capable of both high-level and detailed analysis and management. You should excel in multitasking and conflict resolution, with strong capabilities in building consensus and communicating effectively across all organizational levels.

  • Educational Background: A degree in Project Management, Information Technology, or similar.
  • Professional Experience: Experience in project management, preferably within the logistics or automotive sectors.
  • Skills and Abilities: Problem-solving skills, adaptability to changing environments, and strong communication skills.
  • Strategic and Detail-Oriented: Ability to see the larger strategic context while managing detailed aspects of projects.
  • Conflict Resolution and Consensus Building: Skilled in navigating conflicts, fostering agreement, and building stakeholder buy-in.
  • Effective Communication: Able to tailor communication styles to different audiences, from operational teams to high management.
  • End-to-End Process Understanding: Comprehensive understanding of the outbound logistics flow from planning through to delivery, including interface with extended cross-functions such as production, supply chain planning, commercial operations, among others.
  • Mastery in Presentation and Design: Strong presentation and analytical skills to clearly articulate project status and plans, business cases, escalations, and facilitate decision making.
